Acton Earth Day 2002
The Acton Stream Teams display for Earth Day this year featured our photo collection of Acton's Streams, as well as educational handouts. Visitors were able to consult a 4 foot high display map of Acton, locate the stream or street area they were interested in, and then go to the corresponding photo album to see relevant photos. The photo collection includes all of the photos taken as part of the 1998 Shoreline Survey of Acton's streams, as well as more recent photos taken as part of the Ongoing Stream Survey.
Seasonal Changes at Will's Hole Brook
These photos of Will's Hole Brook are all taken from the same location, looking upstream. Note the position of the trees and the concrete wall. The photos show seasonal changes and help document that Will's Hole Brook is a perennial stream, flowing year round. Under the law, perennial streams are given more protection than intermittent streams that dry up for part of the year.
